System Support - Certified Systems
Supported Platforms
Active Endpoints supports the following Eclipse, client and server operating systems, application and database servers. Support means the Active Endpoints will assist customers with the installation and operation of ActiveVOS products on these 3rd party product versions:
- Eclipse
- 3.3
- 3.3
- Client Operating Systems (ActiveVOS Designer)
- Microsoft Windows XP and later
- Linux - latest versions of Red Hat, Suse and Ubuntu on which Eclipse 3.3 is supported.
- Server Operating Systems
- Microsoft Windows 2003 Server and later
- Linux operating system versions that support the JVM, application and database servers supported by Active Endpoints
- Solaris 10
- Application Servers
- Red Hat JBoss 4.0.5 and JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 4.3
- Apache Tomcat 5.x
- BEA WebLogic Server 9.2 (Note: BEA WebLogic Server 10 and later are not currently supported)
- IBM WebSphere Server 6.1
- Database Servers
- MySQL 5.x
- Oracle Database 10g
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005
- IBM DB2 8.x
- Java Virtual Machine
- Active Endpoints supports the 1.5 JVM
Certified Systems
The following lists the 3rd party product versions that Active Endpoints has Certified. Use of Certified Systems described here will reduce the risk of problems as a result of extensive testing of ActiveVOS with these specific versions.
Database connectivity is required for ActiveVOS Server persistence and version control of deployed processes. It is recommended that the database resides on a dedicated server.

Note:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 JDBC Driver Version 1.1 does not work with ActiveVOS.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 JDBC Driver Version 1.2 has not yet been certified or tested at this time.
